Darkness

Darkness my friend,
Hide me well,
I've been here before please don't tell,
Yes it's our secret but you know,
Tears I've cried I feel low,
It's been a bad day don't let them see,
Darkness my friend,
Please hide me.

Darkness my friend,
You hide me well,
My feelings are clear as you can tell,
It's our secret no-one need know,
This is my life highs and lows.

Doubt

Is it a dream?
Far from between,
Can't you see?
More than me.

What you thought,
Is not what you got?
Can't you believe?
In more than a dream.

You look around,
Not to the ground,
Didn't you know?
Not to throw.

Yet you think,
You know what you want,
It's not too late,
Don't seal your fate.

Lesson

Learn to forgive,
Not to forget,
Lessons in life,
No regrets,
Decisions we make,
Right or wrong,
It's up to you,
Memories are long.

Looking for Understanding

Feelings inside,
I won't discuss,
I don't want people making a fuss,
I'm looking for understanding,
This loving thing is too demanding,
Holding the person within,
While you are stood there crying,
Words I say don't come easy,
Stop shouting you drive me crazy,
Except me for who I am,
At least when we first met,
You did not give a damn.

Forbidden

A forbidden dance,
A game of Chance,
A loving glance,
Is what I crave.
You hear his voice,
You have no choice,
Another broken heart,
Must be saved.

Childhood

Smell of lilac in the air,
Childhood memories without a care,
A gentle stroll upon a beach,
Kissing waves out of reach,
Loving dreams of yesterday,
Lesson's I've learned so far away,
A special place I have found,
With my feet firm on the ground.

Freedom

Do we live in another dimension?
With no true intention?
Is it something I dare to mention?
Are we such an ugly creation?

And we'll all fall down,
There is no glory to this crown,
We'll all fall down,
Around and around,
Yes we'll all fall down,
We'll crumble to the ground,
We'll all fall down,
Around and around.

Are we Hell bent on destruction?
Don't we recieve enough attention?
Can't we build a coalition?
Can we ever make that decision?

And we'll all fall down,
There is no glory to this crown,
We'll all fall down,
Around and around,
Yes we'll all fall down,
We'll crumble to the ground,
We'll all fall down,
around and around.

Too wake with hope in our hearts,
While everything around us falls apart,
We all want the same thing,
only what freedom brings?

Why?

There are no tears,
Without pain,
There is no laughter only crying,
What once was a happy place,
Is nothing but a empty space.

You once gave her flowers,
Now she sits and cowers,
the love she understands,
Are the bruises from your hands.

Where did she go wrong?
How could she stand it for so long?
Is it true?
She wouldn't fight,
Did you have to put out the light?

Her blood is on your hands,
You're less than a man,
Your words full of hate,
Now you're trapped behind a gate.

Chains of Abuse

There is a little girl on a old stairwell,
She is sitting there with a secret to tell,
Does anyone hear her cries for help?
She sitting alone with a secret to tell,
Can someone break the chain she's in?
Can someone stop the pain within?
There is a little girl on a old stairwell,
She is sitting there with a secret to tell.

There is a young boy all alone,
All he needs to do is pick up the phone,
But he prefers to be on the street,
If he returns home he'll be beat,
Can someone break the chain he's in?
Can someone stop the pain within?
There is a young boy all alone,
All he needs to do is pick up the phone,

There is a woman hidden in a room,
The room she believes will be her tomb,
Her bruises no-one see's,
No-one hears her cries or plea's,
Can someone break the chain she's in?
Can someone stop the pain within?
There is a woman hidden in a room,
The room she believes will be her tomb.

There is a man over there,
Because he is a man no-one cares,
His abuse started long ago,
He hides it well so the shame will go,
Can someone break the chain he's in?
Can someone stop the pain within?
There is a man over there,
Because he is a man no-one cares.

There are people in the world being abused,
Hidden from view beaten and bruised,
Is this societies dream?
Abusers milking the cream,
Could you ever break the chain?
Could you ever stop the pain?
There are people in the world being abused,
Hidden from view beaten and bruised.

Why Me?

The rain may fall,
You can't hit that ball,
Chances you take,
Don't you feel a fake,
Words you might say,
Life's game we play,
The feelings inside,
That we try to hide,
Decisions we've made,
Dreams that fade,
A jigsaw world,
So I've heard,
What do I do now?
Big question how,
Do you walk alone?
Is it just a tone?
A window without reflection,
What once was perfection?
There is really no reply,
Except that you'll survive.

Make a Wish

Wish upon a star,
No matter how far,
It can come true.
It might be a dream,
Nothing is what it seems,
It is up to you.
Don't sit and wait,
Before it's to late,
Look at what you can do.
Life is to short,
From finish to start,
For me and you.

Reasurrance

Take me in your arms,
Wrap me up with your charms,
Make me feel so good,
Like you always could,
Help me forget the pain inside,
A wounded angel with so much pride,
Make decisions that confuse my mind,
The daily tumble and grind.

Little things you always say,
Words of simple harmless play,
Looking for a gentle touch,
Loving words that can mean so much,
You are so precious in the rough,
Your there for me when life is tough,
I want what your love brings,
Sometimes we need just simple things.

Innocent Child

Innocent child,
You've got the world in you hand,
Innocent child,
Decisions, demands on your mind,
If only I could help,
Take you step by step,
But it's your life,
You've got to strive.

Innocent child,
Don't let life corrupt you,
Innocent child,
Do what you must do,
Mistakes you must make,
Like pebbles in a lake,
I'm by your side ever more,
If I can break natures law.

Innocent child,
Listen to what I say,
Innocent cild,
Take life day by day,
It is up to you,
Don't be left tired and blue,
No matter what you do,
Keep your heart pure and true.

Cinderella Dreams

A chapter unfolds,
A story to be told,
Cascading dreams,
Nothings what it seems,
No fairy god mother,
Too check this lover,
No pumpkin coach,
Nor castle to approach,
No glass slipper to be found,
Prince charming might be a hound,
No twinkling star,
To wish on from a far,
Isn't it a shame,
Cinderella dreams.

Once upon a time,
Repeated story line,
Cascaded dreams,
Unfolding seams,
With fantasy,
Cheshire cat plus cream,
Something we crave,
Castle or knave,
Deck of cards,
Shuffle them hard,
Time is ticking,
What am I seeking?
Who is to blame,
Cinderella dreams.

Sweet hearts lullaby

If I were your baby,
Would you rock me to sleep?
If I were your darling,
Would you wipe my tears?
If I were your sweet heart,
Would you whisper sweet mothings to me?
But if I were your angel,
Would you clip my wings?
Yes, if I were your angel,
Would you clip me wings?

If you were my baby,
I would hold you tight,
If you were my darling,
I would make things right,
If you were my sweet heart,
I would dance with you in the moonlight,
But if you were my angel,
I would let you take flight,
Yes, if you were my angel,
I would let you take flight.

Trust

So troubled is my life,
Like the glint of a knife,
Forever being used,
Its sharpness abused,
Do I let the person in?
Do I smile or grin?
Could I ever be me?
Only judged for what they see,
Less is worth more,
If I would open that door,
That simplicity is my life,
But complexity of a knife.

I Will Not Be Beaten!

The squeal of rotating doors,
The glisten of polished floors,
The smell of disinfectant,
The waiting being patient,
The nod of heads,
The white linen on beds,
The fears the tears,
The cries I hear,
The prods and pokes,
The word sorry spoke,
The anger inside,
The fear of wanting to hide,
The feeling it can’t be me,
The woman once seen,
I deny the image,
I deny I’m finished,
With every breath I take,
With every gesture I make,
I hold my head high,
I will not cry,
I am still a woman,
I am angry and stubborn,
I will not be beaten,
I will not be beaten!

Mr Paranoia

Hello Mr P so we meet again,
I hear the seconds ticking I must be insane,
Midnight as come calling and I am awake,
How much more Mr P must I take,
You shed doubt in a tired mind,
My reasoning you will grind,
I know my doubts will be nothing,
Mr P why are you bothering?
I hate your whispers of doubt,
If you were a person I’d knock you out,
The damage you do with your negativity,
Can even stump my creativity,
Why Mr P? Why are you here?
Why do you create so much fear?
I want to sleep move forward from this pain,
But instead I’m sat awake again and again,
Dawns chorus has begun,
Mr P look what you have done,
At least the birds are happy,
Now I will be left feeling crappy.

Appointments
Another appointment,
Another day,
My insides in knots,
My mind is at play,
What ifs run wild,
With no words to say,
Restless nights,
Everything seems grey,

I wrestle with food,
Knowing I must eat,
But every mouthful,
My stomach does not greet,
No-one understands,
The feelings I hide,
The fear I carry,
The tears I have cried,

I did not ask,
Nor did I want,
Some days I feel,
This diseases taunts,
The ticking clock,
Appointments written,
Endless waiting,
I feel so sickened,

It has been a week,
No test or call back,
No prodding or poking,
My skin not blue or black,
I can close my eyes,
Dream of dreams,
Until the next appointment,
So it seems.
